For parents

What should parents know about Leadership Training?

Leadership Training is a 9 to 11 week summer program run by the Collegiate Church Network, a network of local churches on US college campuses, and administered by Reliant Mission, an ECFA-accredited mission agency. Students live at a YMCA partner site, Silver Bay YMCA on Lake George in Silver Bay, New York or YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado, in dorm-style YMCA housing with several people to a room. They work full time for the YMCA for at least minimum wage, and food and housing come out of their pay. Outside work, pastors and staff from Collegiate churches lead Bible study, worship, outreach and discipleship. A car helps but is not required, and students arrange their own travel to and from LT. The program fee is $895 to $995 for first-time students, depending on when they register. Parents with questions can contact their student's campus ministry leader, church staff or the LT program team.
