About

About Leadership Training

LT is about serving like Jesus with others.

Leadership Training is a Collegiate Church Network summer discipleship program where college students practice faith, work, community, and mission together.

The heart

A summer that trains the whole life

Students grow through daily work, intentional discipleship, worship, outreach, and shared life. LT is not a retreat from ordinary life; it is a summer of practicing faith in the ordinary rhythms of work, friendship, conflict, service, and mission.

Why LT

Why does the Collegiate Church Network run Leadership Training?

Leadership Training is the Collegiate Church Network's summer program for helping college students follow Jesus, lead themselves and serve others. The network is made up of local churches on US college campuses, and LT gives their students a summer of discipleship in ordinary life instead of a retreat from it. For 9 to 11 weeks, students work full time at a YMCA partner site, Silver Bay, New York or Estes Park, Colorado, live in shared housing and take part in worship, Bible teaching, outreach and small groups led by Collegiate pastors and staff. LT aims for three outcomes: deeper devotion to Jesus and lasting spiritual rhythms, real practice in hospitality, evangelism, teamwork and conflict repair, and students who return to campus ready to serve their church and friends. It is primarily for college students, ministry leaders and future church planters connected to Collegiate churches. Reliant Mission administers the program, and Alan Hable directs it for the network.

Who it is for

Students ready to grow
