Hillary and Stephen Campbell

LT Experience

Hillary and Stephen have participated in six LT programs and believe that each one had a transformational impact on their lives. The refreshment and vision they have received from the Lord during each LT have played a key role in sustaining them throughout their time in ministry. 

Ministry Background

Hillary and Stephen worked in campus ministry at Texas A&M University with Fellowship Church for several years. During this time, God placed a desire in them to plant a church on a campus where there was a great need, but few people were reaching the students. In 2022, they moved to Denton to partner with the remnant of a recently closed church to plant a new house church to reach the University of North Texas and the city of Denton. During their time in ministry, the Campbells loved doing crazy things with students, blessing others through hospitality, and teaching people that there is no substitute for being with Jesus and following the Holy Spirit’s leading in their lives.

Ministry Passions

Hillary longs to care for overlooked people and help others see and celebrate the inherent value that God has given each person. She is also passionate about helping people learn how to honor one another as they engage in conversations around difficult or controversial topics. She believes a key way we witness the world is how we love one another amid difficult circumstances or disagreements. Those who know Hillary best describe her as an excellent communicator who wholeheartedly pursues righteousness in her life. 

Stephen wants all people to experience the freedom from shame and condemnation Jesus is offering them through his sacrifice on the cross. Stephen is passionate about helping people experience God's presence and delight in them through friendship and walking through life’s highs and lows. Those who know Stephen best describe him as a shepherd who cares deeply for people. 

A little more about the Campbells

Hillary and Stephen have been married for 5 years and love traveling together and getting out of escape rooms. Hillary participates regularly in musical theater and also does wedding photography. Stephen loves coffee and has been roasting and selling coffee to friends for 4 years. and is also an avid backpacker and camper. Both Hillary and Stephen are huge Dallas Maverick fans and love fostering fun experiences with those around them
