// LT Experience
Gentz went to his first LT after his freshman year of college. This will be his 17th LT and his fifth at ADK LT.

// Ministry Background
He worked at U of M for 10 years, before moving 6 years ago to plant H2O Church at Western Michigan University.

// Ministry Passions
Gentz comes alive going to new places and meeting new people with the hopes of showing them Jesus. He loves sharing the gospel, building authentic church community, playing IM sports, and digging deep into the Word.

// A little more about Gentz…

  • He prefers to go by Gentz, not Chris.

  • Gentz is an extrovert who likes to stay up late with friends and sleep in when possible.

  • He loves tea, bubble tea, and tea parties with others.

  • He enjoys being active and will play any sport (except swimming...though he can swim).

  • A big fan of the outdoors, he can be found hiking and camping around the US. His favorite place is Zion National Park.

  • He loves to travel and be on mission around the world. Last year, he even hiked the Mount Everest base camp trail. He has been to Nepal, India, Israel, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and El Salvador.

// LT Experience
Kristal has been a part of LTs in 5 different locations! 2023 is her 11th LT (6th at ADK) and first year as a director.

// Ministry Background
Kristal went into full-time ministry at NLCF in 2008 and continues to serve at Virginia Tech. In that time she earned a Masters in Christian Leadership.

// Ministry Passions
Kristal’s heart is to help others know Jesus. She works to create spaces for worship, hospitality, and engaging scripture to foster an awareness of God’s presence in every aspect of our lives. Her focus is investing in relationships that help sharpen followers of Jesus by being involved in life with them.

// A little more about Kristal…

  • Married her husband Robbie in 2010 and they serve together at NLCF!

  • They have two children: Roslyn & Lucy. At the Bay, you’ll probably find Roslyn in the lake and Lucy riding her bike.

  • She loves to travel and learn about other cultures. Her goal is to visit all 7 continents. God created SO MUCH GOODNESS and it’s her joy to share in it.

  • Kristal’s up for a mean game of pickleball (but lowercase so we don’t take ourselves too seriously … it’s pickleball) and brings a puzzle to LT (a piece for everyone!). She's generally up for anything, if it means she gets time with people. She also finds coffee to be wonderful.

  • A metric of refreshment is “can I make something different out of what currently is?” Including gardening, cooking, pottery, hand lettering, putting together IKEA furniture …

  • She's probably listening to worship music right now.

  • Kristal loves LT because it’s a place to see the unity of the Church come alive … and we get to be a part of it!! *heart full*
